Jamie Handy received a B.S. in Zoology (1997) and an M.S. in Biological Science Education (emphasis in Genetics, 1999) from BYU. She has taught middle school, coached a variety of sports, taught piano, worked in politics, done graphic design, has a photography business, and is a voracious reader and learner. She's ALWAYS trying her hand at something new. Jamie and her husband Trent have five children and a very large chalkboard calendar so they can keep up with the demands of it all. They currently reside in Southlake, TX.

Tuesday, 06 October 2015 by Jamie Hanis Handy

My friend Melissa and I would jog occasionally early in the morning.  Although she had several marathons under her belt and loved running fast, she never complained about going at my pace.  She would always comment on the clarity of mind that running gave her.  She was a missionary for the church of running, and she
